For most of my life, I believed I was the problem. I was diagnosed with ADHD at six years old and later, as an adult, with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Like many neurodivergent people, I spent years trying to succeed in environments built around a narrow definition of success. What others saw as "not the right fit" was often the result of workplaces that weren't designed for people like me to thrive.
Through masking and non-disclosure, I built a successful career as a creative director and copywriter in the advertising industry. But along the way, I realized my challenges were not unique. Talented neurodivergent people were often misunderstood—not because they lacked ability, but because their communication styles, working methods, or support needs were different.
When I began advocating for my own needs, I discovered another gap: many leaders genuinely wanted to help but didn't know how.
Today, I help organizations understand neurodiversity through lived experience and practical workplace expertise. My goal isn't just to create more inclusive workplaces—it's to help organizations unlock potential they may not realize they already have. Small changes can help people thrive.
And when people thrive, organizations do too.
